Diggby compiles commercial-intent signals from Alberta's public record. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have under Canadian privacy law.
Diggby ("Diggby," "we," "us," "our") is a territory-intelligence service operated from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We help operators find newly-formed and newly-licensed Alberta businesses early, with verified contact details. Questions about this policy? Email eric@diggby.com.
When you subscribe we collect your name, email address, the markets and feeds you subscribe to, and your authentication state. Diggby uses passwordless magic-link sign-in, so we do not store a password.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. We retain your subscription status, plan, billing region, and invoice history.
We record how the service is used — pages and feeds viewed, leads opened, approximate device and browser, and IP address — through a session cookie and server logs, to operate, secure, and improve the product.
If you email us or fill in a form, we keep that correspondence and any details you include.
The leads and signals inside Diggby are compiled from publicly available sources — municipal permit and licence portals, the Alberta Corporate Registry, AGLC liquor filings, and comparable open records — supplemented by publicly listed business contact details. This information concerns businesses and their publicly listed representatives, not private consumers.
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited information with service providers who help us run Diggby, only so they can perform their function:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Diggby, our customers, or the public.
We use a secure, HTTP-only session cookie (a signed token) to keep you logged in, and minimal cookies to remember preferences such as your market selection. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
We keep account information while your account is active and for as long as needed to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Information is protected in transit with TLS encryption and guarded by access controls and passwordless authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Under Canada's PIPEDA and Alberta's PIPA, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Business-record subjects may request review or removal of publicly sourced listings (see §03). To exercise any of these rights, email eric@diggby.com; we respond within 30 days.
Some of our service providers process data outside Canada (including the United States). Where that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, and we work with providers that maintain appropriate safeguards.
Diggby is a business-to-business service and is not directed to, or intended for, anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Your continued use of Diggby after an update means you accept the revised policy.
